Mysterious Daft Punk Ad Played On ‘Saturday Night Live’

A 15-second commercial containing what is believed to be new music from Daft Punk aired unexpectedly during Saturday Night Live in the USA overnight.

As reported by Pitchfork and confirmed this morning on Thomas Bangalters facebook page, the ad went something like this: some funky disco-esk Nile Rodgers-ish influnenced background music, a glittery Daft Punk logo, followed by the image from their recent announcement of announcing a new record deal at Columbia Records, and then an abrupt ending.
