Bristol has a long a varied history in having produced some of the world’s greatest electronic talent with seminal acts such as Massive Attack, Roni Size and Portishead all hailing from the West Country’s fair city. Now a new generation of acts are taking up the mantle in Julio Bashmore and the hugely hyped Eats Everything. Born Dan Pearce, the greedily named Eats Everything has picked up plenty of fans with his performances across the country and beyond in the last few years and is now launching a new platform to keep their numbers informed on all things Eats with his Edible Movement.
The first aspect of this to come to fruition will be the launch of a new website and the first Edible tour bringing together DJs from across the myriad sounds that inspire Eats. This will kick off with a series of dates spread across the country during May. Stopping off at Cardiff, London, Brighton and Pearce's hometown of Bristol, the dates will feature an eclectic array of his extended musical family including Blond:ish, Catz & Dogz, Jackmaster, Oneman, Richy Ahmed, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Tom Trago, T.Williams, Waifs & Strays and William Kouam Djoko plus special guests yet to be announced, as well as of course Eats himself.
However we’re told that this is just the tip of the iceberg with a number of further Edible developments planned in 2013 as the press release revealed further:
“What this is not is just a party or website, and it's definitely not a record label, but rather Edible is a consolidation of the different facets of Dan's buoyant personality and eclectic taste in music. This will be manifested in numerous ways and turned into a movement. This unique platform will encompass all things Eats and provide a vehicle to explore anything and everything that is possible.”
We wait with baited breath!
