Electronic/Rock ‘Super Group’ for want of a better word ‘Atoms For Peace’ have unveiled the artwork for their eagerly awaited forthcoming album ‘Amok’. Due for release on XL we’ve been greatly impressed with the musical efforts of Thom Yorke and friends thus far and this Roy Lichtenstein maintains the level of quality we’ve come to expect from the Radiohead frontman. Revealed as an easter egg on the bands interactive site fans have been excitedly uncovering more details about the upcoming tour and album for the last several months.
Others stars in the group include the Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s Flea, long time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich , Joey Waronker of Beck & R.E.M. fame and instrumentalist Mauro Refosco so it’s easy to see their generating so much hype as a 6 piece. Here at DT we can’t wait to see them when they hit London and imagine their gig at Berlin’s famed Berghain will be a similarly awesome experience. Fans of the Artwork should also check out the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective currently running at London’s Tate Modern- well worth a look!
